The city of Jinan has a very rich historical and cultural background. Many of the greatest minds in China’s long history hailed from Jinan, including Zou Yan (who developed the concepts of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements) as well as Confucius (the great philosopher who established his influential teachings and values into Confucianism).
The present city of Jinan has evolved into a major modern national administrative, economic, and transportation hub.
