Cikarang is located a 2-hour drive from Jakarta and includes the government of Bekasi Regency. With many foreign companies located here, the city is supported by housing complexes scattered around the Cikarang industrial park that was built by a collection of top modern architects and contractors in Indonesia.

Despite this industrial activity, the city has a lot of nature and historical tourist attractions that can easily be visited at the weekend without any traffic jams. Visit Saung Ranggon in Cikedokan Village, a 400-year-old historical site that was built entirely with ironwood, while enjoying the traditional dance of West Java, Jaipong and a Wayang Kulit show. Cikarang is also famous for Kampung Djamoe where you can learn about Indonesian herbal plants or herbal medicines made from various natural materials. In addition, there are also many lakes and organic rice fields with a cool atmosphere and a lot of green space.
