Simon Galloway, Distance Learning Manager

Simon started teaching English in Fukuyama, Japan, in 2004. He moved to China in 2006, working for EF in Yuyao, Wuhan and Shanghai as a teacher, senior teacher, DOS (in 3 different schools) and Regional Production Manager. During his teaching career Simon has taught all ages from 3 to 65, been a judge on Hubei Province’s Star of Outlook speech contest and once taught a class of over 1000 students.

Simon has worked with the training team since 2016 and is currently in charge of the online distance course programs and CertPT. He is always looking for ways to help explain concepts more clearly and encourage more communication between trainees. Simon's book about online teacher training (called 'Teaching Teachers Online' can be found on Amazon.

Outside of work Simon does a lot of reading and likes to travel (mostly around the UK these days), learn new things, eat good food and play with his two sons.
